The students created a big life cycle of a butterfly to go in the tree on the other side of the room.
Although this isn't the greatest image because of the lighting, my students created the cutest ladybugs with the life cycle of a ladybug hidden under the wings!
Oh yes, and miniature trees! They created these to describe how to plant a tree.
Additionally, each student created a movie entitled 'First Grade' which showed the scenes from a typical day in first grade. They were pretty cute! That being said, grab a snack, and.... Lights! Camera! Action!
Wish I could show you my lovely kiddos and closer ups of their projects! I also have wonderful news that I might be teaching at a Chinese School this summer teaching English! One of my parents approached me with the teaching position and I will be going on Wednesday to check out the program. Is God so good or what? He knew I was looking for something to do this summer and then this just falls right into my lap. I am blessed! So this was my big happening.
Then on Saturday, my wonderful husband graduated with a degree in Political Science.
And of course, we have to have the group graduates photo!
Each is headed of to a new life adventure, but I hope they all stay connected and are able to have get togethers every so often. My friends and I have talked about taking a vacation together once a year and I hope they will be able to do the same. Maybe a hiking or backpacking trip once a year? They would love it! God has dearly blessed us with many wonderful friends who all have the same goal in mind: To impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ! What better mission could there be?! We are excited to see where God will lead us in the years to come.
I just told my principal and first grade team I will most likely not be coming back next year because the Lord is leading Brian and I to Texas for Brian's pilot's training. I know God has something wonderful in store for Brian and I am hopeful that he has something in mind for me as well there. I'm applying for jobs and searching for teaching positions around our base. I guess our life will never be dull in the Air Force. Commissioning for Brian will be this coming Saturday and Brian is stoked! He has been waiting for this day for a very long time. He is ready for his life long dream to become a reality: A pilot in the Air Force!
